Water Management grant round 2: guidance for applicants

Apply for a grant for capital items to improve farm productivity through more efficient use of water for irrigation, and to secure water supplies for crop irrigation

Details

The grant is available to arable and horticultural businesses growing, or intending to grow, irrigated food crops, ornamentals or forestry nurseries in England.

You must own the land on which you undertake these activities, or you must have a tenancy agreement in place until 5 years after the project will be completed.

The grant is competitive, so the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) will score your application and award a grant to the highest scoring applications.

You’ll need to follow a 2-step application process.

The online checker opened on 19 April 2023 and closed at 11:59pm on 12 July 2023.

RPA is assessing the online checker applications received.

If your online application scores highly enough, RPA will invite you to submit a full application for assessment. The success of your application will also depend on the number and value of applications we receive.
